This morning comes word courtesy Mark Spector of Sportsnet and the Team 1260, that Ryan Nugent-Hopkins "dearly wants" to participate in the upcoming 2013 World Junior Hockey Championship in Ufa, Russia. RNH reportedly told his agent, Rick Valette of Octagon Sports, that "I want to play for my country", thus reflecting the wishes of >70% of more than 1000 Cult of Hockey readers who answered our reader poll on the subject earlier this week (see below). According to Spector, the Nuge is on his way to Edmonton to have his left shoulder examined. While reportedly a "purely precautionary" matter, it is nonetheless concerning that the shoulder is still an issue, eleven months after he injured it in a weird fall into the boards in Chicago.
