Two players who have been instrumental in Dirk Nowitzki's life may be going in opposite directions. Point guard Steve Nash is among a list of players on the Mavericks' backup plan free-agent list if they can't sign Deron Williams. And if the Mavs are able to secure Williams, that could signal the end of Jason Terry's career in Dallas. Nash and Nowitzki were teammates with the Mavericks from 1998-2004. On Saturday, Nowitzki reminisced about what it would be like to play with Nash again. "I texted with him a little bit," Nowitzki said. "But I think just like in the summer of 2010 when LeBron [James] was kind of the first piece of domino to fall and then everybody kind of went after that, I think it's going to be the same this year. "I think people are going to try to pursue D-Will in our case and then once he decides where he's going, I think then you can make some other decisions -- if you go for Nash."
Nowitzki says life might come full circle with Nash, Terry
