The Denver Broncos drafted tight end Noah Fant in the first round with the expectation that he’d be an immediate impact player. After suffering an injury against the San Francisco 49ers, the Broncos got some good news about their injured rookie.
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, Broncos head coach Vic Fangio told him that Fant should be good to go in Week 1. Fant has been battling an ankle injury he suffered in Week 2 of the preseason.
Fant scored 18 touchdowns in his final two years at Iowa, averaging over 14.6 yards per catch in that span. He formed one of the elite dual-tight end sets with T.J. Hockenson.
