Earlier today, rumors began to fly on Twitter that Yankees second baseman Robinson Cano had tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. The initial reporter, Dan Tordjman of Eyewitness News in Charlotte, N.C., went on to state that a press conference would be called to announce a 50-game suspension for Cano. Mark Feinsand of the New York Daily News has asked Cano, who stated that those rumors were indeed false, and that there was no positive test, nor was a suspension forthcoming. Cano's statements to Feinsand have also been collaborated by multiple team and league sources.
