Nikola Mirotic said he expects to make his season debut this week. While it’s unlikely Mirotic will play Monday against the Cavaliers, the Bulls play Wednesday at the Pacers, Friday at the Hornets and at home Saturday against the Knicks. “Feeling much better with my conditioning,” Mirotic said. Mirotic has practiced three times with the Bulls and twice with the Windy City Bulls of the G League since being cleared for his first contact. He had been sidelined since Bobby Portis concussed him and broke two bones in his face with a punch during practice Oct. 17. “My legs feel fresh and strong,” Mirotic said. “Hopefully when I get back I can make an impact to the team and help them win games. “In the beginning I had little issues (with my shot) because I didn’t shoot for a long time. But my shot is feeling really good right now. I’m staying after practice taking extra shots, coming at night too. Working hard.” Mirotic, clearly in good spirits on Sunday, even joked that “most of the days” he beats rookie Lauri Markkanen in shooting competitions.
