Jon Niese's body of work this season has been marked by overpowering starts interspersed with a number of aimless outings. "He knows he's got very good stuff, and when he has a bad outing, he takes it as hard as anybody. He was bound and determined to show that was more on the side of an aberration than the way he is capable of pitching."
