The Phoenix Suns have received improved point guard play this season with the addition of Ricky Rubio.
But Rubio is 29.
Could the team look for his replacement in the 2020 NBA draft?
That's the direction most recent NBA mock drafts are leaning in their latest projections for the Suns, although the predictions are far from a consensus.
Arizona guard Nico Mannion, who went to Phoenix Pinnacle High, continues to be listed as a possible selection for the Suns, who would have the No. 10 pick in the NBA draft based on their record when the season was halted due to concerns over the coronavirus pandemic.
Here are the latest NBA draft projections for the Phoenix Suns for the 2020 NBA draft, which is currently scheduled to be held on June 20.
Sporting News: Suns select Arizona guard Nico Mannion at No. 10
Chris Stone writes: "Mannion is a high IQ offensive threat who won't lose value in situations off the ball when Devin Booker is running the show. His playmaking should excel in advantage situations, and the jumper is likely to fall at a higher clip than it did during his freshman season. All of the worries about Mannion — a lack of shot generation at the rim and poor defense — still apply to his presence in Phoenix, but at this point in this draft, everyone is going to have some problems. Finding some positives is the best teams can do."
