This offseason, Jalen Hurts made the decision to grad transfer to Oklahoma for this final collegiate season. He has not regretted that move one bit.
Through seven games, Hurts is firmly in the Heisman Trophy conversation. He’s completing 74 percent of his passes and has thrown for 2,074 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Additionally, Hurts leads the Sooners in rushing yards (705) and rushing touchdowns (10), indicating he’s been every bit the dual-threat OU fans hoped he would be.
Even though Nick Saban chose Tua Tagovailoa as his starting quarterback over Hurts in 2018, he’s not surprised by his former pupil’s success.
