With the NHL focused on trying to salvage the 2019-20 season, the league on Wednesday night was forced to postpone the 2020 scouting combine, awards show and entry draft.

The combine was originally scheduled for June 1-6, followed by the awards June 18 and the draft June 26-27.

The NHL has been out of action since March 12, when the league suspended the regular season because of the coronavirus outbreak. At the time, the NHL stated that its goal was to "resume play as soon as it is appropriate and prudent, so that we will be able to complete the season and award the Stanley Cup."
