Falcons GM Thomas Dimitroff mentioned during an interview with 92.9 The Game (per Vaughn McClure) that they have no interest in trading RB Tevin Coleman this offseason. It’s worth mentioning that Dimitroff previously said he could see a scenario where they pay Coleman, even after already locking up Devonta Freeman to a long-term deal last year. Although, it would be difficult to afford both of them at market-value salaries. If the Falcons were to trade Coleman now, they could try to get a better return for him than what they would receive in terms of a compensatory pick in 2020 if they lose him in free agency next year. However, it sounds like they want to maintain continuity at running back for the 2018 season and see if they can re-sign him at some point.
