It’s no secret: The Denver Broncos are in desperate need of quarterback help. The Broncos have struggled to find a consistent starting QB since Peyton Manning retired, as Trevor Siemian, Paxton Lynch and Brock Osweiler all have been mediocre at best in their respective showings on the field. With this in mind, it came as no surprise that the Broncos heavily would be in the mix for Kirk Cousins this offseason. In fact, ESPN’s Adam Schefter identified Denver as one of the “final four” teams in the Cousins sweepstakes. However, CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora believes it’s really a two-horse race for Cousins, which reportedly has prompted the Broncos into their backup plan.
