The Chicago Bears did not have the highest of expectations going into the 2017 NFL season. Still, their 5-11 finish was hardly what they had in mind for a rebuild moving forward. As a result, the Bears will be looking to get rid of several undesirable contracts this offseason. According to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports, outside linebacker Pernell McPhee is among those that could be on their way out of Chicago: “Pernell McPhee’s injury woes have other teams believing the Bears might save that $7 million by moving on from him” McPhee enjoyed a solid start to his career with the Baltimore Ravens after winning Super Bowl 47 in just his second season.
