As baseball insiders and fans debate who the Yankees will choose to replace ousted manager Joe Girardi, one Las Vegas book has staked out a favorite and some strong contenders. Bovada Las Vegas lists Yankees bench coach Rob Thomson as the front-runner at 6-1, followed by Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre manager Al Pedrique at (7-1), Yankees first base coach Tony Pena (8-1) and third base coach Joe Espada (9-1). Eight people, including Marlins manager Don Mattingly, a former Yankees great, are tied at 12-1. If you're looking for a ridiculous longshot, there's Alex Rodriguez at 100-1 and Derek Jeter at 500-1. Most insiders believe the Yankees will look within the organization to replace the ousted Girardi, who was fired Thursday.
