New Florida Panthers owner Vincent "Vinnie" Viola said he has one objective in mind and is willing to do what it takes to make it happen. "We are commited to provide the resources to the Florida Panthers necessary to win the Stanley Cup." Viola a Brooklyn native who rooted for the Rangers since 1963 was introduced as Panthers owner Friday morning at the BB&T Center. Coach Kevin Dineen and most the rest of the team attended the announcement including newly signed goalie Tim Thomas. Viola said the Thomas signing is the first step in his vow to provide General Manager Dale Tallon with the pieces needed to turn the long-struggling franchise into a winner "I want us to be a team that is completely committed to winning the right way for the community that it represents" he siad. "The community to me are the families hat make up the team the surrounding coverage of the team and the fan base.
