When it appeared he wasn't going to be a member of the 12-man U.S. Olympic Basketball team, New Orleans Hornets rookie Anthony Davis said he was eager to participate in the Summer League. Those plans might have changed Thursday when Los Angeles Clippers power forward Blake Griffin returned to Los Angeles to have an MRI examination on his sore left knee, elevating Davis to the 12-man squad that played the Dominican Republic in an exhibition game here Thursday night. Hornets Coach Monty Williams said the team was awaiting official word from USA Basketball becore determining Davis's availability for Summer League.
