Neftali Feliz will return after a one-day break to the role of Rangers closer for the series opener against Seattle on Monday night. Manager Ron Washington gave Feliz the night off Sunday because Feliz had appeared in three consecutive games, throwing 52 pitches in 3 1/3 innings. Washington remains committed to Feliz as the closer despite ongoing problems and the recent addition of right-handers Mike Adams and Koji Uehara as game-ending alternatives. Adams closed out the 5-3 victory against Cleveland with a perfect ninth inning. Feliz had his second blown save in the last four chances during Saturday's 7-5 loss to Cleveland. He has six blown saves in 28 chances. A year ago, Feliz had only three blown saves in 43 chances. "When you give the ball to your closer, you feel good about the game being over," Washington said. "But there's no guarantees."
