Monte Harrison, a four-star wide receiver committed to Nebraska , was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers as the No. 50 overall pick in the Major League Baseball draft on Thursday night. Harrison signed with Nebraska to play football and baseball, and now both Bo Pelini and Cornhuskers baseball coach Darin Erstad must wait and see if the Lees Summit, Mo. prospect will pursue a professional baseball career immediately. The deadline for signing with major league clubs is July 15. CBSSports.com's baseball insider Jon Heyman called Harrison a "superb athlete" and projected the high school star to be picked by the Rangers at No. 30. Over at Huskers Illustrated, Michael Bruntz writes that Harrison's two-sport status may have an impact on his contract negotiations with Milwaukee.
