The Denver Nuggets could be aggressive during these last few hours prior to the trade deadline, reportedly willing to move point guard Emmanuel Mudiay and forward Wilson Chandler in hopes to acquire Memphis Grizzlies guard Tyreke Evans, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Denver has also looked to use a pick in hopes to incentivize teams to take on Kenneth Faried’s remaining $26.7 million contract, as he keeps racking up DNPs within Malone’s system. Faried has been overtaken by the likes of Mason Plumlee and Trey Lyles in the depth chart, now only offered spot minutes and opportunities for a matchup game against certain teams. The Nuggets have been in dire need for a scoring punch since forward Paul Millsap was sidelined with a torn ligament in his left wrist and head coach Mike Malone has looked to keep his spark plug Will Barton coming off the bench, where he’s more comfortable, but the starting unit has lacked the scoring needed to win games.
