The New York Knicks are in good position to get the 2019 top overall and select Zion Williamson in the NBA Draft. However, the team is reportedly unsure if Williamson will eventually become a once-in-a-generation talent in the league despite dominating during his one-year stint with Duke.

According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the Knicks have doubts on whether or not Williamson will reach the level of LeBron James or even Anthony Davis.

While the Knicks love Williamson’s intangibles and electric talent, they also are hardly sure he will ever rise to the stratosphere of LeBron James — or Davis, who has become an inside and outside monster.

The Knicks finished with the worst record in the league this season. They will have a 14 percent chance to land the first pick along with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Phoenix Suns. In the event they draft Williamson, there is a chance that he might not stay in New York because of how the Knickerbockers view his potential.
