Despite the recent wave of good luck in the NBA Draft Lottery, the New Orleans Pelicans are not expected to be quite as lucky when it comes to keeping franchise star Anthony Davis.

Even after speculation of the potential of him coming back to play along consensus top pick Zion Williamson, it’s likely that Davis’ agent, Rich Paul, finds a “respectful” way to facilitate a move with new executive vice president David Griffin, according to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.

Griffin was hired last month after the Pelicans fired GM Dell Demps during the season. Griffin and Paul share a mutual rapport after the former dealt with Paul’s biggest client and longtime friend LeBron James during Griffin’s tenure with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
