Continuing our look at NBA free agency and the Trail Blazers, we turn today to nine-year NBA veteran Chris Wilcox. Wilcox, 28, has played for four NBA teams: the Clippers, Sonics/Thunder, Knicks and Pistons. He holds career averages of 8.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in 21 minutes per game at both power forward and center, but has battled injuries through much of his career. Wilcox is 6-foot-10 and 235 pounds with above average leaping ability (his vertical jump has been measured at 34.5 inches). In 2006-07 with the Seattle SuperSonics, Wilcox played his only full NBA season, averaging 13.5 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.9 steals in 31 minutes per game. In the past two seasons with the Detroit Pistons, Wilcox has appeared in just 91 games (39 starts). Over his last 22 games with the Pistons -- when finally healthy -- Wilcox averaged 10.3 points and 5.3 rebounds in 17 minutes per game, and said he tried to leave a good impression on the front office.
