The Los Angeles Lakers have had a very interesting offseason, signing some good players to assemble a very competitive team. Even though they failed to sign the most coveted player of the free agency, Kawhi Leonard, the Purple and Gold still have a very good squad that will make some noise next campaign.

With LeBron James and Anthony Davis leading the way, the Lakers are expected to have a good run next NBA season in a stacked Western Conference. But, while many fans see them as the favorites to win the title, some others have a different opinion on the franchise’s chances to take the NBA trophy.

During an appearance on SportsCenter, Brian Windhorst discussed his most recent article for ESPN, where he assured NBA executives didn’t see the Lakers as a championship caliber team. When asked how the rest of the league see LeBron and AD leading the Lakers, Windhorst said:

“Here is what I can say after talking with all these people around the league: they are so much more impressed with the Lakers moves this summer than they were last summer,” he said. “Anthony Davis is a huge add and they really worked to put 3-and-D specialists around the Brow. Guys like Avery Bradley, Danny Green, these have been the type of players that LeBron has won championships with. They really think this is a vastly improved team.”
