NBA 2K22 dropped on Friday, and of course player ratings have been the talk of the town. Among those who should be most offended by 2K’s evaulation of his talent is Sixers guard Ben Simmons, who has been dominating the NBA offseason news cycle after demanding a trade from Philadelphia. Likely in response to Simmons’ dissapointing postseason performance, 2K has lowered his overall rating to an 84, the lowest since his rookie season as the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Damichael Cole points out.

Cole also noticed a hilarious fact: with Simmons’ three-point rating dropping to a 58, he now has a lower three-point rating than non-shooting centers like Deandre Ayton, Boban Marjanovic, Dwight Howard and JaVale McGee. It’s a savage shift, but not necessarily unwarranted given Simmons’ playoff woes a few months back.
