The Nationals will be exercising its 2023 contract options for general manager Mike Rizzo and manager Davey Martinez, Washington announced Saturday.

The pair have been mainstays within the organization despite its lack of success in recent seasons. After guiding the Nationals to the organization's first-ever World Series in 2019, the team has gone 120-181 as of Saturday.

"Mike and Davey have been leading the Washington Nationals for several years and it is only right to continue with them at the forefront," said Nationals Managing Principal owner Mark D. Lerner.
