Despite the trade between the Diamondbacks and Braves that took Justin Upton out of the Rangers' potential plans, Texas isn't expected to chase outfielder Michael Bourn or pitcher Kyle Lohse. T.R. Sullivan of reports that though Texas has discussed the players with their representative Scott Boras and appeared to be favorites to sign one or both of the free agents, the chances of Bourn or Lohse coming to Arlington has diminished. "The Rangers like their club, they have a chance to let some young players show what they can do and they have the resources to get a player they really like if the situation arises, like it did with Cliff Lee in 2010," Sullivan wrote Thursday.
