The Reggie Bush to the Detroit Lions bandwagon isn't slowing down one bit. In fact, it seems to be growing, and at the very least it includes one player already on the Lions. Wide receiver Nate Burleson made it known on NFL AM on Monday morning that he wants Bush to join the Lions when free agency officially opens next month. Via the Free Press, here's a look at Burleson's pitch to Bush: "I’m going to just say this, 'Reggie Bush, you already took your talents to South Beach, come on to Detroit,'" Burleson said. "I know it’s not as sunny, and it might not be the same type of glitz and glamor, but you can do wonders for us." Burleson also talked up Bush's skills and mentioned that he's "an elite running back." Burleson seems to be fully on board with the idea of adding Bush to the offense because the Lions lack a home-run threat with Jahvid Best not being cleared. Bush would come in and fill that role, and he could also contribute on special teams. Simply from a fit standpoint, Bush seems to be a no-brainer for the Lions. It seems to be a no-brainer for Bush as well. He would be joining a team that has already established his role, and he would be playing in an offense that already knows how to utilize his talents.
