David Moyes has reiterated Manchester United's desire to bring Cesc Fabregas to Old Trafford is alive and well confirming a plot to prise him away from Barcelona is 'ongoing'. The new United boss confirmed this at a press conference in Osaka Japan but would not be drawn further on the subject. The club have had a second bid for Fabregas believed to be in excess of £30million rejected by Barcelona in the last week. The Spanish midfielder is still on holiday after being given an extended leave because of the Confederations cup missing Barcelona's 2-0 defeat at the hands of former manager Pep Guardiola and his Bayern Munich side. Speaking earlier this week Moyes said: ‘My understanding is that (executive vice chairman) Ed Woodward has had a response and he’s spoken with Barcelona and again we’ve made a second offer.
