Barcelona will try and bring Juan Mata back to Spain if his role at Chelsea does not change between now and January but could face opposition from a spiteful Jose Mourinho. Reports in Spain suggest that Barca have identified Mata as a player who would fit in with their style and see him as a potential long-term replacement for Alexis Sanchez or Cesc Fabregas. But according to Mundo Deportivo Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho holds a grudge against Barcelona and would go out of his way to prevent any move including offering the player to former club Real Madrid before letting him leave for the Camp Nou. Mata was linked with Arsenal and Tottenham during the most recent transfer window but both player and club insisted a move was not on the cards. Despite reports to the contrary Mata insists he is happy to fight for his place at Chelsea this season.
