Several Arizona Diamondbacks players are seeing their name come up in speculation and chatter before the MLB trade deadline.

Adam Jones is among them.

The outfielder, who is hitting .276 with 12 home runs and 37 RBIs for the Diamondbacks this season, is being linked to the Philadelphia Phillies in recent MLB trade talk.

Jones is under contract for $3 million this season. He will be an unrestricted free agent next season.

Could Arizona trade him to Philadelphia? The Phillies are looking for help in their outfield after Andrew McCutchen went down for the season with a torn ACL.

Of course, much of the trade chatter assumes that the Diamondbacks will fall out of contention for the playoffs and start trading players before the 2019 MLB trade deadline.

Arizona, which has won five straight games, was 2 1/2 games out of the final National League Wild Card spot after Monday's games.
