Missouri State men’s basketball fans can exhale. Alize Johnson will be back this winter. Johnson announced Monday that he has officially withdrawn his name for consideration for the 2017 NBA Draft. The standout junior will return for a senior year with the Bears. Johnson initially declared for the NBA Draft a month ago. He was not expected to be selected, but his declaration allowed him to work out with pro squads. The NCAA changed its rule for underclassman basketball players prior to the 2016 NBA Draft to allow players to work out for professional teams and not automatically forfeit their remaining NCAA eligibility.
