UTEP's Tim Floyd has emerged as a strong candidate for the Missouri opening, a source close to the situation told ESPN. Floyd, 60, has spent the past four seasons with the Miners and has a team that is expected to compete for the Conference USA title next season. Floyd also spent four seasons at USC and led the Trojans to three NCAA tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 in 2007.
