It took Mike Leake more than a year to make his minor-league debut. It took him just seven batters to give up his first minor-league grand slam in the Louisville Bats' 7-4 loss to the Durham Bulls on Wednesday. Leake, a 23-year-old right-hander, was just the 21st player ever to appear in the majors without playing in the minors but was optioned by the Reds to Triple-A on Saturday. Given a 1-0 lead by Juan Francisco's home run, Leake pitched a 1-2-3 first inning but got into immediate trouble in the second.
