Vikings HC Mike Zimmer mentioned Friday that Case Keenum “will be the starter next week” for their game against the Falcons, per Andrew Krammer. However, Zimmer added that the situation at quarterback is still “week to week.” Zimmer has previously indicated that they’re willing to turn to Teddy Bridgewater should Keenum struggle to perform, but there’s just no way Minnesota could bench Keenum based on how well he’s played for them this year. Keenum, 29, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Houston back in 2013. He spent two years with the Texans before he was claimed off of waivers by the Rams.
