The Denver Nuggets have historically had one of the best home-court advantages in the league because of the altitude at the Mile High City. They have been one of the best home teams once again this season with a 10-2 record. However, their road form has been the complete opposite. They are just 3-9 outside of the Pepsi Center this season and until that changes, Malone doesn’t even want to consider a return to the playoffs. Per Gina Mizell of the Denver Post: “Forget playoffs. That is a word we should not use with this team. Let’s just talk about being real honest — we are a bad basketball team on the road.” Despite their 3-9 road record, the Nuggets are still very much in the playoff mix in the Western Conference thanks to their strong home record.
