Mike Green took part in the Capitals’ entire practice Friday morning in Arlington, a day after he sat out a second straight game with a lower-body injury. Green took part in warm-ups Thursday night prior to Washington’s 3-2 loss to the Devils but ultimately decided that he wasn’t ready for game action. “I didn’t feel ready,” said Green, who added that he’s hoping to make it back in the lineup for Saturday’s matinee against New Jersey. “And an extra day makes the biggest difference, so that was the decision we made.” Over the past three days of practice, Green has appeared hesitant to skate at full speed and truly test his mobility.
