With the Houston Rockets recently pulling the trigger on a trade deal centered around Russell Westbrook and Chris Paul, the team’s front office has made it abundantly clear how they intend to move forward in the next couple of years. However, their future plans in the coaching department does not seem to be as clear cut, with reports now emerging that the extension to head coach Mike D’Antoni’s expiring deal is no longer a priority at the moment.

Sam Amick of the Athletic reports that following a drastic turn of events for the organization, both the Rockets and D’Antoni’s camp do not appear to be too enthusiastic about putting pen to paper on a potential extension deal for the 68-year-old shot-caller.
