The Michigan Wolverines are coming off their most successful season to date under head coach Jim Harbaugh, finishing the 2021 campaign as Big Ten Champions and making an appearance in the College Football Playoff. Entering 2022, Harbaugh is optimistic about the wide receivers his team has. During a recent interview on GoBlue Podcasts with Jon Jansen, Harbaugh talked about what players he is optimistic about.
"Every receiver is back," Harbaugh said. "And I was gonna say, three freak shows that are incoming freshmen: Darrius Clemons, Tyler Morris, and Amorion Walker are really doing some incredible things. (Walker) ran a 6.25 three-cone the other day; had a 43-inch vertical jump. All three of those receivers are outstanding. So whatever quarterback, all the quarterbacks every single one of them are gonna have a bunch of great targets to throw to. Guys that are proven, guys that are coming in it's gonna be...I think the listeners probably know about the running backs as well. Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards, we'll see Tavierre Dunlap, who we've seen a lot in practice make that jump from freshman year to sophomore year. So a lot of really good players at the skill positions."
Clemons is a 247Sports Composite four-star recruit out of Portland (Ore.) Westview. He is the No. 143 ranked overall prospect and the No. 24 ranked wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2022. Morris is also a four-star recruit, playing high school football out of Bolingbrook (Ill.) Nazareth Academy. He is the No. 133 ranked overall prospect and the No. 22 ranked wide receiver in the recruiting class of 2022.
