A recent graduate from the University of Michigan issued an apology after sending a hateful email to Ronnie Bell, whose involvement on a pivotal play in Saturday's 28-21 loss at Penn State became a target for criticism.

Connor Grady, whose title and signature in an email sent to Bell indicated that he was a 2019 graduate of Michigan, told the sophomore wide receiver to "please quit the team already" and sounded off with other malicious comments.

Grady issued an apology when reached by Larry Lage of the Associated Press after a tweet from Bell's father, Aaron Bell, went viral.
