Michael Owen claims he's been told that Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish 'has his heart set' on joining Manchester United.
Grealish is one of United's top targets in the summer transfer window alongside the Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho, but Villa are under less pressure to sell their star player after avoiding relegation from the Premier League at the weekend.
The 24-year-old scored Villa's goal in their 1-1 draw with West Ham at the London Stadium in what could yet prove to be his final game for the club.
United want Grealish as they look to add depth to their squad and Owen believes the player wants to move to Old Trafford.
“I think he’s after Manchester United as well," Owen told Premier League Productions. "I’m told he has his heart set on Manchester United. I’d be surprised if he went anywhere else.”
Owen added: “He’ll be more expensive now to possible suitors. There is that tie now that it’s his team and they’re still in the Premier League.
