Miami redshirt freshman quarterback Jack Allison suffered a separated shoulder during Saturday’s scrimmage. Allison suffered a grade one separation on his throwing shoulder when taking a sack. It is considered a "minor" injury and he is considered day-to-day according to a Miami spokesperson. Head coach Mark Richt elected to let the quarterbacks take live hitting from the defense as opposed to not letting quarterbacks get hit, which is generally the case during practices. Richt was asked after the scrimmage if everyone was healthy and he responded: “I don’t know. I hope so. I didn’t see anybody get carted off, which is nice. I’m just so involved with calling the plays and just going. (Head athletic trainer) Vinny (Scavo) will hit me up and tell me what’s up in the next day or two.”
