Add Miami redshirt defensive end Gregory Rousseau to the growing list of players opting out of the upcoming college football season.

UM head coach Manny Diaz initially told reporters on Thursday during a teleconference that he was expecting his "entire team" to be at practice on Friday. A few minutes later however Diaz said that Rousseau wasn't going to risk playing.

"As a coach, we are for these young men and advocates for them," Diaz said. "We want what is best for him and if that is what he has chosen, we support that.”

Rousseau's decision comes a few days after Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons and Minnesota wide receiver Rashod Bateman both announced that they were going to sit out and instead start preparations for the NFL Draft. Virginia Tech cornerback Caleb Farley did the saw a week prior.
