The Miami Dolphins coaching staff, front office officials and scouting department gets a sneak peek at the 2013 team today, which is the beginning of the team's voluntary offseason program. Numerous members of the team have been using the Dolphins' Davie facility to practice and train for months, but now the VOLUNTARY workouts have officially begun. I'm told the majority of the team's players are inside the facility, which allows the staff to check each player's conditioning, health status, and weight. Obviously, it is more important to closely monitor some players (cough, cough John Jerry) than others. Players are encouraged to train at the team's facility because if they get injured elsewhere their contracts can be voided. The Dolphins need to closely monitor new additions Brent Grimes and Lance Louis, who are both recovering from serious injuries that ended their 2012 season.
