Teams looking to acquire outfielder Juan Lagares will most likely end up with coal in their stockings. The Mets have fielded calls for the 2014 Gold Glove outfielder, but are unlikely to move him, a high-ranking Mets official told The News. GM Sandy Alderson has made his intentions known he is looking to cut the team's payroll below last season's Opening Day $154.4 million mark. While Lagares is scheduled to make $15.5 million over the next two seasons, it doesn't appear the backup defensive specialist is in danger of being traded in any sort of salary dump move.
