The Dark Knight failed to rise in 2017 and if he does again, it could be with another team. The Mets have made it known to other teams that they are shopping Matt Harvey, according to Kristie Ackert from the Daily News. The hope for the right-hander was that he would return to his 2015 form, but a battle with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome left his right arm weak and his command back on the operating table. Harvey finished off his worst season with a string of disappointing starts that led to a career-worst 6.70 ERA. The Mets are reportedly trying to flip Harvey for a reliever, since they seem reluctant to spend money in free agency and have one of the worst farm systems in baseball, and have reached out to two teams. Alderson essentially confirmed this report at the Winter Meetings on Sunday night, saying no one was off the table except Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard.
