Bobby Parnell will be reexamined by a doctor today after missing his fifth straight game with a sore neck. The closer could face a stint on the disabled list. Terry Collins said Parnell has "not [improved] a lot." "I mean he feels better but not enough to pitch him for sure" he said. Parnell has not pitched since Tuesday and has been taking medication to reduce muscle spasms. He has converted 22 of his 26 save opportunities this season posting a 2.16 ERA.
