They found a Josh Smoker buyer. The Mets shipped the left-hander to Pittsburgh on Wednesday in exchange for minor league lefty Daniel Zamora and cash considerations, the teams announced, days after the Mets designated Smoker for assignment. Smoker broke in with the Mets in 2016 and appeared in 74 games over the past two seasons. In 71 2/3 innings, the 29-year-old pitched to a 5.02 ERA with 93 strikeouts. He had a poor start last season but finished strong, allowing two earned runs in his final 18 2/3 innings.
