New player, same possible trade partner, new Mets strategy? After Andrew McCutchen trade talks between the Mets and Pittsburgh Pirates reportedly stalled around young outfielder Brandon Nimmo, the concept could resurface for a different on-the-move star. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Mets are weighing adding one of four potential infielders before the start of the season: Todd Frazier, Eduardo Nunez, Neil Walker and Josh Harrison. The first three are free agents, costing nothing but money to acquire. Harrison, the versatile Pittsburgh veteran, would have to come through a trade. According to sources close to Rosenthal, Nimmo would have to be included to satisfy Pittsburgh's trade demands.
