Ron Francis, Executive Vice President and General Manager of the National Hockey League’s Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with defenseman Dennis Robertson on a one-year, two-way contract. The deal will pay Robertson $650,000 at the NHL level, or $75,000 at the American Hockey League (AHL) level in 2016-17. Robertson, 25, split the 2015-16 season between Chicago’s AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, and Carolina’s AHL affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers, notching two goals, earning seven assists (9 points) and posting a plus-15 plus/minus rating in 58 AHL regular-season games.
