The cameraman understood the assignment when he saw Megan Thee Stallion walking out to the mound.
The level of focus was something he should win a sports Emmy for.
Megan knew exactly what she was doing when she wore those white pants. No one was paying attention to that pitch.
Megan Thee Stallion wears her love for her hometown proudly, making a habit of mentioning Houston in many of her songs.
On Thursday, she got a chance to bring that love for H-Town to Minute Maid Park by throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the Astros’ home opener.
After practicing beneath the stadium, she came onto the field in a white Astros jersey bearing a diamond chain with the words “Hot Girl” on it and a jersey that had Pete (her last name) and “222” across the back. She came out on the mound and took a second to take in the moment before throwing the pitch. After shuffling towards the plate and jokingly saying she was scared, she threw a pitch to David Hensley that was just a little outside and ended up bouncing in the left-handed batter’s box. But Hensley made the play easily. She closed the ceremony out by getting a hug from Orbit, the Astros’ mascot.
