The Winnipeg Jets made a few minor moves this morning, all within the organization. Veteran defender Derek Meech was called up from St. John's and Goalie Al Montoya was activated off of Injured Reserve. To make room for them, the Jets then re-assigned Julian Melchiori and Edward Pasquale to the IceCaps. The move sees Meech return to an NHL roster for the first time since last year when he served his entire stint on the IR. The 28 year old Winnipegger has played 128 games in the NHL and another 310 in the AHL. he has registered 23 points in 46 games in St. John's this season. Al Montoya returns to the lineup after missing 7 games with a lower body injury picked up in the February 12 loss to Philadelphia. He has a .889 save percentage and a 2.74 goals against average, while posting a record of 2-0-0 in 4 games played.
